Biography

Jay Garrett plays the vibraphone. Since moving to Tulsa in 2010, he has performed with the Voices of Unity Choir and Salsabor. When in Los Angeles, he performed the music of Vinny Golia and Anne Lebaron on concerts at the REDCAT. He performed as a special guest with Terry Gibbs at jazz festivals. He has performed with the Robertito Melendez Latin Jazz Band and Louie Cruz Beltran. When in Texas, Jay performed concerts at the Sammons Center for the Arts, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Majestic Theatre. His favorite vibraphone players are Cal Tjader, Terry Gibbs and Lionel Hampton.

Good Vibes Band performs the music of Cal Tjader, Terry Gibbs and Lionel Hampton. Their repertoire includes Latin jazz and big band classics. Members of the band include Jay Garrett, Tom Shannon, Jordan Hehl, and John Dellavedova.
