Jenny Labow
Biography
Jenny Labow was born in Toronto, Canada and moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma with her family when she was 12. Living in Oklahoma she played in high school rock bands and eventually joined the iconic band Glasshouse. After recording two albums, and playing countless gigs, the band broke up and Jenny recorded her first solo CD, Flourish, which was signed to Renaissance Records. That year she played Lilith Fair in Oklahoma City.
The next year Jenny’s music was chosen for the independent film Chillicothe, in which she also made her acting debut. Chillicothe (Blue Yonder Films) was accepted and shown at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
After recording her second album, Jenny moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue her career in music and film. Currently she resides in downtown LA, and is working on a new EP to be released in 2011.
Jenny’s long-time popularity as one of the most loved and recognized musicians in Tulsa has created a demand that keeps her returning to Oklahoma on a regular basis for live performances. She plays both original shows, cover shows, and appears either as a solo act, a duo, or a full band.
